As a roofing contractor I often find myself looking up for inspiration when visiting other cities while traveling. Growing up on the east coast frequenting Vermont I often heard the familiar comparison between Boulders Pear St. and Burlingtons Church St.

As the rumor goes the pedestrian areas were designed by the same person. This is in fact not true. Although both were constructed around the same timeframe and did pull talent from east coast architectural firms both boasting a Victorian and Art Deco feel with modern infill these two very similar pedestrian malls were not designed by the same person.
Regardless, the conversation has come up more than once so I though it would be interesting to draw a few weather comparisons between the two cities which helped define similar architectural choices.
